February Full Snow Moon 2024

February’s Full Moon is at her fullest at 4:30am PT on Saturday, February 24, 2024.

She is called the Snow Moon because she occurs in one of the coldest times of the year.

She is also our first Micro-Moon of the year. This means she is just a little bit farther away from Earth than normal. It won’t likely “look” smaller to the naked eye.

While we are still in the midst of Winter, something beneath the surface is starting to stir. Tiny buds and blossoms are starting to awaken, and late winter flowers are blooming. The light is with us longer each day. The hummingbirds and many other creatures are starting to do their mating dances, and the birds are starting to serenade us with joy!

My focus for this month’s Full Moon is to reflect on and let go of all that needs to be released and prepare myself to bring this year’s dreams and visions to life. As I slowly come out of my reflection retreat cocoon, I feel my energy rising, just like Nature’s.

I encourage you to prepare your sacred space before you journal.

  1. Light a candle. (Take it to the next level and choose a color based on your desire!)

  2. Place crystals or sacred objects around the space.

  3. Play soft, soothing music.

  4. Take a moment to express gratitude for this time you've set aside for yourself.

  5. Sit or lie in a comfortable position, close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths to center yourself - bringing your awareness to the present moment.

  6. Read through the prompts below.

  7. Gather your notebook and pen and get ready for sacred journal time.

Journal Prompts:

  • What will I intentionally not bring into spring?

  • What challenges have I overcome?

  • What lessons or new skills have I learned?

  • Who is welcome in my space this year?

  • Who do I need to release?

  • Where am I ready to invest my resources?

  • Where do I want to spend less of my resources?

Once you are done journaling, speak these words out loud:

"I recognize and release all that no longer serves me. I cleanse and release everything weighing me down and stopping me from moving forward. My concerns are lifted, and my heart feels clear. Divine love and light accompany me wherever I go.  I am love. I am light. I am healed and renewed.  I am a beacon of hope for myself, others, and the world. And so it is."

As with most Full Moons, it is an excellent time to charge all of your favorite baubles, crystals, and creative tools… as well as brew a batch of Moon Water!

Here are some things I set out: water, skincare, essential oils, favorite crystals, jewelry, and other baubles… I also set out creative tools I use like my pens, journal, paints, glasses, and my favorite mug.

Enjoy your Full Moon rituals, Beloved.

Wrapping you in love and light,
